What it looks like
The Cannoneer is an Epic card that is unlocked from Frozen Peak (Arena 8). It is a single-target, air-targeting, long-ranged tower troop with moderate hitpoints and high damage. The Cannoneer resembles a short and stout man wearing goggles, a team-colored cloak, brown gloves and sandals, has a loose tooth, carries a sponge rammer and a backpack with a crown emblem in the center filled with cannonballs, and wields a large cannon with team-colored crown paint and a control lever.
Trivia
- The word "Cannon" and by extention "Cannoneer" comes from the Akkadian word "𒄀" (qanû), meaning reed. Cannons were invented in China during the twelfth century. It was most likely developed in parallel or as an evolution of an earlier gunpowder weapon called the fire lance. Cannons were used for warfare by the late thirteenth century in the Yuan dynasty and spread throughout Eurasia in the fourteenth century. During the late Middle Ages, large and small cannons were developed for siege and field battles. The cannon replaced prior siege weapons such as the trebuchet. After the late Middle Ages, most large cannons were abandoned in favor of greater numbers of lighter, more maneuverable field artillery. The Cannoneer is 1 of 4 cards associated with cannonry, with the others being Royal Giant, Cannon, and Cannon Cart.
- According to the Cannoneer reveal video and family tree, the Cannoneer is the red King's cousin.
- When attacking, he may say "Tick Tock, boom a clock", "Legit banger!", "In the building!", “Big cannon, bigger problems", "Boom and doom", "Boooooom!", or "I'm having a blast". The Cannoneer is voice acted by David Autovino. The Cannoneer is 1 of 2 tower troops that speak distinct words when on the field, the other being Dagger Duchess.
- The Cannoneer is the subject of 3 Emotes.
