Electro Dragon
Spits out bolts of electricity hitting up to three targets. Suffers from middle child syndrome to boot.

What it looks like
The Electro Dragon is an Epic card that is unlocked from the Spooky Town (Arena 12). It spawns a single-target, air-targeting, short-ranged, air troop with moderate hitpoints and moderate damage. The Electro Dragon launches an attack that hits its target, which will arc and strike up to 2 other targets within 4 tiles of each other. It will stun affected troops for 0.5 seconds. The Electro Dragon resembles a small blue dragon with blue eyes, gray spots and glowing spikes on its back, purple tongue, and team-colored wings and underbelly. An Electro Dragon card costs 5 Elixir to deploy.
Trivia
- The Electro Dragon resemble dragons from European cultures. being reptilian legendary creatures, often depicted as winged, horned, and capable of breathing fire. However, the Electro Dragon breathes lightning bolts instead.
- The word "Electro" come from the Greek word "ἤλεκτρον" (elektron), meaning amber, referring to its electrostatic capabilities. Electricity was first detected through electric fish from as far back as 2750 BCE where Ancient Egyptian texts described them as the "protectors" of all other fish. At around 600 BCE, Thales of Miletus made a series of observations on static electricity, from which he believed that friction rendered amber magnetic, in contrast to minerals such as magnetite, which needed no rubbing. Thales was incorrect in believing the attraction was due to a magnetic effect, but later science would prove a link between magnetism and electricity. Electricity would remain little more than an intellectual curiosity for millennia until 1600, when the English scientist William Gilbert wrote De Magnete, in which he made a careful study of electricity and magnetism, distinguishing the lodestone effect from static electricity produced by rubbing amber. The Electro Dragon is 1 of 11 cards associated with electricity, with the others being Electro Spirit, Zap, Tesla, Zappies, Electro Giant, Lightning, Electro Wizard, Sparky, Wizard Trio, and the Goblinstein.
- It is 1 of 3 troops that are “miniature” versions of another troop in Clash of Clans, the others being the Mini P.E.K.K.A and Baby Dragon. They are smaller versions of Electro Dragon, P.E.K.K.A, and Dragon, respectively. The Electro Dragon is a reference to the eponymous troop in Clash of Clans. However, the Electro Dragon in Clash Royale is a less durable infant, only hits up to three targets with its chain lightning, has the same damage for all three hits, stuns on strike and doesn't inflict death damage.
- The Electro Dragon is one of the first troop cards to receive a card render, alongside the Archers, Knight, Goblins, Bomber, Skeletons, Barbarians, Bats, Royal Recruits, Skeleton Barrel, Rascals, Musketeer, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Flying Machine, Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Dart Goblin, Zappies, Elixir Golem, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Witch, P.E.K.K.A, Prince, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Hunter, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Cannon Cart, Mega Knight, Ram Rider, Miner, Royal Ghost, Ice Wizard, Magic Archer, Bandit, Lava Hound, Night Witch, and Fisherman.
- The Electro Dragon has been featured in multiple special game modes outside of the card. More specifically: The Electro Dragon is 1 of 4 troops that has been featured in the Dragon Hunt sub-mode of the Treasure Hunt game mode, the others being Skeleton Dragons, Baby Dragon, and Inferno Dragon. The Electro Dragon is 1 of 14 troops that has been featured with a Rage buff, the others being Electro Spirit, Giant, Zappies, Guards, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Wall Breakers, Electro Giant, Mega Knight, Ram Rider, Electro Wizard, Sparky, and Royal Ghost.
- Acoording to the Electro Dragon's intro video, and its description, it is implied that the Baby Dragon, Electro Dragon, and Inferno Dragon are brothers, with the Electro Dragon being the middle child.
- According to the Electro Dragon's intro video, the Electro Dragon is the Electro Wizard's pet dragon.
- After each attack, the spikes on the Electro Dragon's backlight up in sequence, similar to a Sparky's charge. This is merely a visual indicator; its attack does not charge like Sparky's attack does.
- The Electro Dragon is 1 of 4 troops that can deal damage to multiple units with one attack without an area damage radius, the others being Electro Spirit, Hunter, and Electro Wizard.
- The Electro Dragon is the subject of 2 Emotes. From the Electro Dragon's Emotes, the Electro Dragon produces its lightning by sneezing, unlike its counterparts who produce fire by burping.
- The Electro Dragon was featured in the winning deck of the Clash Royale League 2018 Tournament, by a player called Lciop.
- The Electro Dragon is currently the only Dragon unit in Clash Royale to shoot a projectile other than fire.
