What it looks like

The Inferno Tower is a Rare card that is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 4). It spawns a single-target, air-targeting, long-ranged, building with high hitpoints and various damage stage. The Inferno Tower's damage increases over time as it remains focused on a single target. It appears as a tall, narrow building made of iron, straddling on top of a lava pool, with a glowing orange lens on top and two team-colored spokes on the sides. An Inferno Tower card costs 5 Elixir to deploy.

Trivia

  • The word "Inferno" comes from the Latin "inferus", meaning underworld. In the French, Russian, Persian, and Malaysian language settings of the game, the Inferno Tower's name translates to "Hell Tower". In the Chinese and Vietnamese language settings of the game, the Inferno Tower's name translates to "Tower of Hell". In the Turkish and Arabic language settings of the game, the Inferno Tower's name translates to "Disaster Tower" and "Fire Tower" respectively.
  • The Inferno Tower is 1 of 7 buildings which first existed in Clash of Clans, the others being Cannon, Mortar, Tesla, Goblin Hut, Elixir Collector, and X-Bow. The Inferno Tower resembles the Level 1 Inferno Tower from Clash of Clans. Its Star Level 2 skin resembles the Level 3 Inferno Tower in Clash of Clans. Unlike its Clash of Clans counterpart, the Inferno Tower in Clash Royale cannot be set to attack multiple units simultaneously for constant damage.
  • The Inferno Tower is one of the first building cards to be featured in a Trainer's deck, alongside the Cannon, Goblin Hut, Tombstone, Bomb Tower, and Barbarian Hut.
  • Though not the first cards to receive balance changes, the Inferno Tower is one of the first Rare cards to ever receive balance changes since the February 2016 Update, the others are the Wizard, Bomb Tower, Barbarian Hut, and Elixir Collector.
  • While attacking a target, the waves around its main beam will gradually become thicker and the fire on the tip of the tower will flare more intensely.
  • A stream of thick, black smoke rises from its target.
  • The Inferno Tower is unavailable in multiple special game modes. More specifically: It is 1 of 20 cards that is unavailable in Mirror mode, the others being Minions, Cannon, Mortar, Tesla, Goblin Hut, Tombstone, Bomb Tower, Barbarian Hut, Furnace, Elixir Collector, Freeze, Clone, X-Bow, Golden Knight, Skeleton King, Archer Queen, Mighty Miner, Little Prince, and the Monk. It is unavailable in The Floor is Healing sub-mode of the Global Spell game mode, much like other building cards, as well as the Cannon Cart.
  • The Inferno Tower bears more than a passing resemblance to the Eye of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings series. This resemblance has been referenced a few times: The Inferno Tower is the subject of an Emote where its orange lens looks similar to the Eye of Sauron. The Merge Tactics Inferno Tower's description "It may only attack an enemy, but it sees them all" is a reference to the Eye of Sauron.
  • The Inferno Tower was featured in the winning deck of the Super Magical Cup Tournament, by a player called CMcHugh.
  • On 1/10/2018, the Inferno Tower was supposed to receive a 4.5% hitpoints increase, but this change was pulled back last minute.
  • Before the Inferno Tower's card release, the Inferno Tower's cost was decreased to 5 Elixir (from 6 Elixir) and its hitpoints were increased by 1%.
