What it looks like

The Skeleton Barrel is a Common card that is unlocked from the Jungle Arena (Arena 9). It spawns a fast, single-target, building-targeting, melee, air troop with moderate hitpoints. Once it reaches a building or it is destroyed, the barrel drops, dealing area damage, inflicting knockback, and spawning seven Skeletons in a circle. It is a spiked black barrel with a white skull printed on the front tied to three team-colored balloons. A Skeleton Barrel card costs 3 Elixir to deploy.

• The word "Skeleton" comes from the Greek "σκελετός" (skeletós), meaning dried up or withered. The Skeleton Barrel is 1 of 15 cards associated with Skeletons, with the others being Bomber, Skeleton Dragons, Tombstone, Bomb Tower, Guards, Skeleton Army, Witch, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Wall Breakers, Super Witch, Graveyard, Skeleton King, and of course, Skeletons.
• The Skeleton Barrel could be inspired by Clash of Clans' Builder Base Troop, Drop Ship, which also does damage and summons Skeletons when destroyed.
• The Skeleton Barrel is 1 of 17 troops that inspired a troop in Clash of Clans, the others being Spear Goblins, Bomber, Bats, Minion Horde, Firecracker, Battle Ram, Ice Golem, Zappies, Baby Dragon, Giant Skeleton, Ram Rider, Inferno Dragon, Miner, Royal Ghost, Ice Wizard, and Night Witch. In Clash of Clans, the Skeleton Barrel in battle looks identical to an enemy Skeleton Barrel in Clash Royale. Unlike its Clash of Clans counterpart, the Skeleton Barrel in Clash Royale attacks only buildings. The Skeleton Barrel's visual appearance resembles Clash of Clans' Air Bombs and its projectiles. The barrel itself is stylized very similarly to Level 6 and 7 Balloons from Clash of Clans.

• The barrel of the Skeleton Barrel looks similar to the hull of the Rocket.
• The Skeleton Barrel has the same deploying sound as the Balloon, but with a higher pitch.
• The Skeleton Barrel has been featured in multiple special game modes outside of the card. More specifically: The Skeleton Barrel is the only troop that has been featured with a Death Damage buff. The Skeleton Barrel is 1 of 10 troops that has been featured under the Special Delivery ruler ability, the others being Knight, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Musketeer, Wizard, P.E.K.K.A, Giant Skeleton, Golem, Sparky, and Royal Ghost.
• Although not available as a troop, the Skeleton Barrel reappears as Witch's active ability in Squad Busters.
• In the Mirror Challenge and in its reveal trailer, the Skeleton Barrel was shown to spawn all Skeletons in a random pattern. However, this was changed after its general release to spawn the Skeletons in a circular formation.
