What it looks like
The Tombstone is a Rare card that is unlocked from the Bone Pit (Arena 2). It spawns a building with moderate hitpoints. Every 3.5 seconds, the Tombstone will passively summon a group of two Skeletons, with a 0.5 seconds delay from each other. When destroyed, it will also spawn four Skeletons. It appears as a coffin with a mounted gravestone that has a skull and a bone printed on it and a wooden plank located on both sides serving as a trapdoor, and emits a team-colored glow. A Tombstone card costs 3 Elixir to deploy.
Trivia
- The Tombstone's appearance is inspired by the Halloween Headstone obstacle from Clash of Clans.
- The Tombstone is 1 of 15 cards associated with Skeletons, with the others being Bomber, Skeleton Dragons, Skeleton Barrel, Bomb Tower, Guards, Skeleton Army, Witch, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Wall Breakers, Super Witch, Graveyard, Skeleton King, and of course, Skeletons. In the Arabic and Vietnamese language settings of the game, the Tombstone's name translates to "Headstone". In the Norwegian, Korean, Chinese, and Thai language settings of the game, the Tombstone's name translates to "Gravestone", "Skull Tomb", "Skull Tombstone", and "Grave Marker" respectively. The Tombstone, Bomber, and Skeletons are the only cards associated with Skeletons that are unlocked in Bone Pit. Despite other cards that spawn Skeletons having 3 Star Levels, the Tombstone only has 2 Star Levels. This trait is also shared with the Witch.
- The Tombstone, along with the Cannon, are the cheapest buildings, costing 3 Elixir.
- The Tombstone's stats are the highest or lowest among all buildings. More specifically: The Tombstone has the lowest hitpoints of all buildings, with 772 hitpoints at Level 15, and 250 hitpoints at Level 3. This Tombstone loses the least hitpoints per second of all buildings, with 25.7 hitpoints per second at Level 15, and 8.3 hitpoints per second at Level 3.
- The Tombstone is one of the first buidling cards to be featured in a Trainer's deck, alongside the Cannon, Goblin Hut, Bomb Tower, Inferno Tower, and Barbarian Hut.
- The Tombstone is the only building that has been featured in the Troop Rush game mode. The Tombstone in the Troop Rush game mode had 1,200 hitpoints (instead of 250), a spawn speed of 5 seconds (instead of 4 seconds), a first spawn speed of 2 seconds (instead of instant), a lifetime of 20 seconds (instead of 30 seconds), and it would spawn a Royal Ghost after death instead of Skeletons. There was also a larger Tombstone with 2,500 hitpoints, that did not lose hitpoints, would spawn 3 Guards every 15 seconds, and would spawn a Skeleton King after death.
- The Tombstone is unavailable in multiple special game modes. More specifically: It is 1 of 20 cards that is unavailable in Mirror mode, the others being Minions, Cannon, Mortar, Tesla, Goblin Hut, Bomb Tower, Inferno Tower, Barbarian Hut, Furnace, Elixir Collector, Freeze, Clone, X-Bow, Golden Knight, Skeleton King, Archer Queen, Mighty Miner, Little Prince, and the Monk. It is unavailable in The Floor is Healing sub-mode of the Global Spell game mode, much like other building cards, as well as the Cannon Cart.
- On 1/4/2016, certain Content Creators were given a different version of the game, with a Tombstone that visually looked larger and would spawn Giant Skeletons instead of Skeletons.
- The Tombstone was featured in the winning decks of multiple Clash Royale Tournaments. More specifically: The Tombstone was featured in the winning deck of the King's Cup Tournament, by a player called TMD YAOYAO. The Tombstone was featured in the winning deck of the Clash Royale League 2018 Tournament, by a player called Lciop.
- Before the Tombstone's card release, the Tombstone's spawn time interval was decreased to 2.95 seconds (from 3.95 seconds), and its Skeletons' hitpoints and damage were increased by 8%.
