What it looks like
The Rascals is a Common card that is unlocked from the Rascal's Hideout (Arena 13). It spawns a single-target, ground-targeting, melee, ground troop with high hitpoints and moderate damage output in front of two single-target, air-targeting, medium-ranged, ground troops with low hitpoints and moderate damage. The Rascals features a boy who has black eyes and eyebrows, dons a bowl cut which covers his eyes, wears a team-colored tunic, a black hood and pants, wields a wooden sword, carries a medium-sized pouch on his waist attached with a rope, and is barefoot, with the girls appearing similarly to Archers and being dressed similarly to the boy, except they have brown eyes and aquamarine hair, wear eyepatches, gloves and shoes, and wield slingshots with an attached team-colored rubber band. A Rascals card costs 5 Elixir to deploy.
Trivia
- The word "Rascal" comes from the Latin "rasicō", meaning 'to scrape'. In the German, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Chinese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Finnish, and Vietnamese language settings of the game, the Rascals' name translates to "Bullies", "Vagrants", "Outlaws", "Bad Boys", "Rogues", "Greenwood Gang", "Troublemakers", "The Naughty Ones", "Fiends", and "Dodgy Group" respectively. The Rascals are 1 of 4 cards associated with outlawry, with the others being Goblin Gang, Bandit, and the Boss Bandit. Along with the Firecracker, Bandit, Magic Archer, and the Boss Bandit, the Rascals belong to the Forest Gang.
- The Rascals are one of the first troop cards to receive a card render, alongside the Archers, Knight, Goblins, Bomber, Skeletons, Barbarians, Bats, Royal Recruits, Skeleton Barrel, Musketeer, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Flying Machine, Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Dart Goblin, Zappies, Elixir Golem, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Witch, P.E.K.K.A, Prince, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Hunter, Electro Dragon, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Cannon Cart, Mega Knight, Ram Rider, Miner, Royal Ghost, Ice Wizard, Magic Archer, Bandit, Lava Hound, Night Witch, and Fisherman.
- It is 1 of 4 cards that spawns different troops at once, the others being Goblin Gang, Wizard Trio, and the Goblinstein.
- The Rascal Girls are 1 of 23 troops that have been featured in the Troop Rush game mode, the others being Skeletons, Skeleton Dragons, Fire Spirit, Bats, Elite Barbarians, Firecracker, Royal Hogs, Heal Spirit, Elixir Golem, Guards, Prince, Balloon, Golem, Wall Breakers, Ram Rider, Sparky, Phoenix, Royal Ghost, Bandit, Lumberjack, Santa Hog Rider, and the Monk.
- In The Flood trailer, it is revealed that the Rascal Boy is bald and actually wears a wig.
- In the card's description, "Double Trouble Gum" is likely a reference to the brand of gum called Dubble Bubble.
- Upon the release of this card, the total amount of cards since the soft launch was doubled, also making Modern Royale have the same number of cards as Retro Royale. Later, since the Summer 2018 Update, which released Giant Snowball and Royal Hogs, Modern Royale contains more cards than Retro Royale.
- When the Rascal Boy is defeated, his wooden sword falls to the ground. The other units that drop items upon death are the Knight, Mega Minion, Dark Prince, Executioner, Mega Knight, Sparky, Fisherman, Super Knight, Golden Knight, and the Little Prince.
- If the Boss Bandit is played when allied Rascals are on the field, she says "Trouble squad, I'm in!".
- A Rascal Girl is the subject of 3 Emotes.
- The initial balance change for Rascals on the 4/4/2023 balance changes was an attack time interval decrease to 0.2 seconds (from 0.8 seconds) for the Rascal Girls, but it was raised to 0.5 seconds last minute.
