What it looks like

The Archers is a Common card that is unlocked in the Training Camp. It spawns two single-target, air-targeting, medium-ranged, and ground troops with low hitpoints and low damage, deployed in a horizontal line. The Archers take the appearance of women who have blue eyes, deep pink eyebrows and short hair with side bangs, are barefoot, and wear golden bands on their arms, team-colored capes, lime-colored tunics, and a team-colored belt with a buckle, along with a bag and a quiver around their waists and on their backs respectively, while wielding a recurve bow with team-colored stabilizers as their weapon, and having arrows with team-colored fletchings and a team-colored point as their ammunition. An Archers card costs 3 Elixir to deploy.

Trivia

  • The word "Archer" comes from the Latin "arcus", meaning bow. The practice of archery was first developed in Africa by the later Middle Stone Age (approx. 70,000 years ago). It is documented as part of warfare and hunting from the classical period until the late medieval period when it was made obsolete by the increased use of firearms. The bow that Archers use in battle is a recurve bow. The Archers are 1 of 10 cards associated with archery, with the others being the Arrows, Tower Princess, X-Bow, Princess, Magic Archer, Super Magic Archer, Super Archers, Archer Queen, and the Little Prince.
  • The Archers are 1 of 19 troops which first existed in Clash of Clans, the others being the Minions, Goblins, Skeletons, Barbarians, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Hog Rider, Witch, P.E.K.K.A., Balloon, Golem, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Cannon Cart, Phoenix, Lava Hound, and the Archer Queen. The Archers resemble the Level 1 Archer from Clash of Clans. Their Star Level 2 skin grants them a tiara similar to the Level 7 Archer in Clash of Clans. Archers in Clash Royale share a similar deploy sound effect with their Clash of Clans counterpart. In Clash of Clans, the Archers' movement speed is high, whereas in Clash Royale, their movement speed is moderate.
  • The Archers are 1 of 7 cards that are already unlocked for the player when they start playing the game, the others being the Minions, Knight, Arrows, Tower Princess, Giant, and Fireball. Despite this, the game recognizes that those cards are unlocked in the Training Camp.
  • The Archers are one of the first troop cards to be featured in a Trainer's deck, alongside the Minions, Knight, Spear Goblins, Goblins, Bomber, Skeletons, Barbarians, Minion Horde, Mini P.E.K.K.A., Musketeer, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Hog Rider, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Witch, P.E.K.K.A, Prince, and Balloon.
  • The Archers are one of the first troop cards to receive a card render, alongside the Knight, Goblins, Bomber, Skeletons, Barbarians, Bats, Royal Recruits, Skeleton Barrel, Rascals, Musketeer, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Flying Machine, Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Dart Goblin, Zappies, Elixir Golem, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Witch, P.E.K.K.A., Prince, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Hunter, Electro Dragon, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Cannon Cart, Mega Knight, Ram Rider, Miner, Royal Ghost, Ice Wizard, Magic Archer, Bandit, Lava Hound, Night Witch, and Fisherman.
  • Even though the card spawns 2 Archers, the card render displays only 1 Archer.
  • From the Firecracker's description, it is implied that the Firecracker used to be an Archer.
  • It's unknown why the Archers have a small pouch on her belt, though it's most likely there to store supplies, such as bowstrings and water.
  • Despite wearing a quiver filled with arrows, the Archers don't take the arrows out of her quiver when performing an attack.
  • In Fisherman's Float, Shipwreck Island, and Island Arena, Archers can be seen sitting in the audience.
  • The Archers are featured in non-Clash games. More specifically: The Archers, along with the Goblins, Barbarians, Elite Barbarians, and P.E.K.K.A., were featured as a monster in Puzzles and Dragons, in a dungeon called Clash of Clans Dungeon. The Archers, along with the Goblins, Barbarians, Wizard, Hog Rider, Battle Healer, Witch, Miner, Ice Wizard, and Bandit, are featured as a Squaddie in Squad Busters.
  • The Archers, along with the Goblins, Barbarians, Ice Spirit, Mini P.E.K.K.A., Musketeer, Giant, Wizard, Hog Rider, Witch, Prince, and Night Witch, are featured as a sticker in iMessage, in a sticker pack called Clash Theater. Also, along with the Goblins, Skeletons, Barbarians, Mini P.E.K.K.A., Musketeer, Wizard, Witch, Prince, and Princess, they are featured in the Clash-A-Rama sticker pack.
