Mega Minion

What it looks like

The Mega Minion is a Rare card that is unlocked from the Barbarian Bowl (Arena 3). It spawns a single-target, air-targeting, melee, air troop with moderate hitpoints and high damage. It appears as an enlarged Minion wearing a set of armor with a mask, chainmail, and a team-colored belt. A Mega Minion card costs 3 Elixir to deploy.

Trivia

• The design of the Mega Minion resembles gargoyles. The gargoyle is a fantasy and horror monster inspired by the gargoyle architectural element. While they were believed in mythology to frighten away evil spirits, the idea of such statues physically coming to life is a more recent notion. They are usually made of magically animated or transformed stone, but have animal or chimera traits and are often guardians of a place such as a cathedral or castle. They can also be depicted as vessels for demonic possession or as a living species resembling statues. In the French and Japanese language settings of the game, the Mega Minion's name translates to "Mega Gargoyle". In the Arabic, Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, and Vietnamese language settings of the game, the Mega Minion's name translates to "Giant Minion", "Armored Undead", "Big Minion", "Armored Drone", and "Super Minion" respectively.
• The Mega Minion was the first card to be introduced in the game along with a Special Offer in the Shop.
• The Mega Minion, along with the Minions, Bomber, Skeletons, Skeleton Dragons, Ice Spirit, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Ice Golem, Dart Goblin, Elixir Golem, Goblin Brawler, Guards, Baby Dragon, P.E.K.K.A, Giant Skeleton, Golem, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Executioner, Mega Knight, Inferno Dragon, Royal Ghost, and Lava Hound, are featured as a monster in Squad Busters.
• When deployed, the Mega Minion says "Cupcake". However, the Mega Minion's audio is muffled. The Mega Minion is 1 of 24 troops that speak distinct words when on the field, the others being Mini P.E.K.K.A., Wizard, Hog Rider, P.E.K.K.A., Dark Prince, Bowler, Ram Rider, Electro Wizard, Princess, Ice Wizard, Magic Archer, Lumberjack, Mother Witch, Fisherman, Goblin Machine, Super Mini P.E.K.K.A., Santa Hog Rider, Super Magic Archer, Golden Knight, Boss Bandit, Archer Queen, Little Prince, and the Terry.
• When the Mega Minion is defeated, its helmet falls to the ground. The other units that drop items upon death are the Knight, Rascal Boy, Dark Prince, Executioner, Mega Knight, Sparky, Fisherman, Super Knight, Golden Knight, and the Little Prince.
• The Mega Minion is 1 of 10 cards to have an alliterative name, the others being the Royal Recruits, Goblin Gang, Goblin Giant, Cannon Cart, Barbarian Barrel, Ram Rider, Dagger Duchess, Boss Bandit, and the Mighty Miner.
• The Minions and Minion Horde's descriptions say that the regular Minions are "unarmored", which hinted the addition of the "armored" Mega Minion. According to a Clash-A-Rama comic strip, a Minion is the Mega Minion's child.
• The Mega Minion's health is a little higher than 3 Minions of equivalent level put together, while its damage is slightly lower.
• The grill covering the Mega Minion's mouth is very similar to the visor on the Prince's helmet.
• The Mega Minion's gender has been confirmed as male, as the Mega Minion Emote Supercell Make campaign referred to Mega Minion as "he".
• The Mega Minion is the subject of an Emote. The Mega Minion Mute Emote was created by LordFink on Supercell Make.
• Its range was shown as 2 before the July 2019 Update.
