What it looks like

The Cannon Cart is an Epic card that is unlocked from the Miner's Mine (Arena 15). It spawns a single-target, ground-targeting, medium-ranged, ground troop with high hitpoints and moderate damage. When its hitpoints are lowered below 50%, it becomes a building with a 15-second lifetime. It appears as a Cannon with a wooden base atop a wooden cart, with a small team-colored ridge at the rear and a large bolted ridge in the center. A Cannon Cart card costs 5 Elixir to deploy.

Trivia

  • The word "Cannon" comes from the Akkadian word "𒄀" (qanû), meaning reed. Cannons were invented in China during the twelvth century. It was most likely developed in parallel or as an evolution of an earlier gunpowder weapon called the fire lance. Cannons were used for warfare by the late thirteenth century in the Yuan dynasty and spread throughout Eurasia in the fourteenth century. During the late Middle Ages, large and small cannons were developed for siege and field battles. The cannon replaced prior siege weapons such as the trebuchet. After the late Middle Ages, most large cannons were abandoned in favor of greater numbers of lighter, more maneuverable field artillery. The Cannon Cart is 1 of 4 cards associated with cannonry, with the others being Royal Giant, Cannon, and Cannoneer. In the Japanese language setting of the game, the Cannon Cart is revealed to be a Type 60 Self-Propelled Recoilless Gun.
  • The Cannon Cart is 1 of 19 troops which first existed in Clash of Clans, the others being Minions, Archers, Goblins, Skeletons, Barbarians, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Hog Rider, Witch, P.E.K.K.A., Balloon, Golem, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Phoenix, Lava Hound, and the Archer Queen. The first part of the Cannon Cart's description was taken from the Cannon Cart in Clash of Clans, where it says "A cannon on wheels?! Wait, did it just turn into a mortar?? Bet they won't see that coming! Both powerful and versatile!"; Its ability differs from its Clash of Clans counterpart. Instead of dropping its wheels when the shield is destroyed, the Clash of Clans Cannon Cart can be switched between its moving and stationary form, with its stationary form having higher range and area damage, similar to a Mortar. Its Star Level 3 skin grants it the Golden Dragon's head, a boss that appears in a Single Player Map in Clash of Clans.
  • The Cannon Cart is one of the first troop cards to receive a card render, alongside the Archers, Knight, Goblins, Bomber, Skeletons, Barbarians, Bats, Royal Recruits, Skeleton Barrel, Rascals, Musketeer, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Flying Machine, Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Dart Goblin, Zappies, Elixir Golem, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Witch, P.E.K.K.A, Prince, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Hunter, Electro Dragon, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Mega Knight, Ram Rider, Miner, Royal Ghost, Ice Wizard, Magic Archer, Bandit, Lava Hound, Night Witch, and Fisherman.
  • In the Spanish and Italian language settings of the game, the Cannon Cart's name translates to "Wheeled Cannon". In the Russian language settings of the game, the Cannon Cart's name translates to "Cart with a Cannon". In the Norwegian and Turkish language settings of the game, the Cannon Cart's name translates to "Gun Carriage". In the Chinese language settings of the game, the Cannon Cart's name translates to "Cannon Car".
  • The Cannon Cart is the only troop that changes type when unshielded, going from a troop to a building.
  • The Cannon Cart is 1 of 7 troops that has had its movement speed classification changed, the others being Skeleton Barrel, Elite Barbarians, Suspicious Bush, Goblin Brawler, Lumberjack, and the Mighty Miner.
  • The Cannon Cart is 1 of 10 cards to have an alliterative name, the others being Royal Recruits, Goblin Gang, Mega Minion, Goblin Giant, Barbarian Barrel, Ram Rider, Dagger Duchess, Boss Bandit, and the Mighty Miner.
  • Since the Cannon Cart is a troop, it can be cloned, and a cloned copy will drop a cloned cannon, making it the only case where Clone can generate a building. Since the cloned cannon still has a limited lifetime, it is the only cloned troop with a health bar.
  • The Cannon Cart is unavailable in The Floor is Healing Challenge, as buildings are unavailable and its second form is a building.
  • When a Cannon Cart turns into a building, it drops its wheels. However, only 3 wheels are seen to come off despite it having 4 wheels.
  • The Cannon Cart was featured in the winning deck of the Clash Royale League 2020 Tournament, by a player called Ruben.
  • There used to be a glitch where if the Neutral Fisherman targeted an unshielded Cannon Cart, he would move away from the center towards the Cannon Cart and staying there until the battle ended or he moved towards another unshielded Cannon Cart.
