Dark Prince
The Dark Prince deals area damage and lets his spiked club do the talking for him - because when he does talk, it sounds like he has a bucket on his head.

What it looks like
The Dark Prince is an Epic card that is unlocked from the Royal Arena (Arena 7). It spawns an area-damage, ground-targeting, melee, ground troop with high hitpoints and high damage with shields in addition to his normal hitpoints. After he travels 3 tiles, he will begin to charge towards his target, and deals double damage if he hits the target whilst charging. The charge will hit all enemies in a 360º area around him. He is able to jump over the river. The Dark Prince takes an appearance as a man who has blue eyes, black eyebrows, dark brown hair, and is mostly covered in dark steel armor, wearing a bucket with a team-colored feather on his head, a team-colored belt, and brown shoes with dark steel plates on them. He carries a spiked club and a shield with a crown emblem on it, and rides a pony which is identical to that of the Prince's, but is darker. A Dark Prince card costs 4 Elixir to deploy.
Trivia
- The word "Prince" comes from the Latin word "prīnceps", meaning first head. The Dark Prince is 1 of 20 cards associated with nobility, with the others being Knight, Royal Recruits, Royal Giant, Royal Delivery, Tower Princess, Royal Hogs, Prince, Raging Prince, Mega Knight, Princess, Royal Ghost, Spirit Empress, Super Knight, Dagger Duchess, Royal Chef, Golden Knight, Skeleton King, Archer Queen, and the Little Prince.
- Shields were first developed during the Bronze Age, as a protection device, designed to block attacks by hand weapons, such as swords, axes and maces, or ranged weapons like sling-stones and arrows. Shields have varied greatly in construction over time and place. Sometimes shields were made of metal, but wood or animal hide construction was much more common; wicker and even turtle shells have been used. Shields were retired in warfare, but are still used to this day for police enforcement. The Dark Prince is 1 of 3 troops to have a shield, along with the Royal Recruits and Guards.
- The Dark Prince's pony resembles a Shetland pony, a breed of ponies that has a compact body with short legs and a long mane, and is commonly ridden in horse shows.
- He is 1 of 5 troops that have a charge, the others being Battle Ram, Prince, Raging Prince, and Ram Rider.
- The Dark Prince is 1 of 8 troops that can jump over the river, the others being Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Prince, Raging Prince, Ram Rider, Cursed Hog, and Santa Hog Rider.
- The Prince and the Dark Prince are revealed to be brothers according to the balance changes in the Tournaments Update.
- Similar to the Prince, once he starts charging, a sound effect will play. However, the Dark Prince's audio is muffled and played in a lower pitch compared to the Prince. When the Dark Prince charges, he will shout "Attack" or "Charge".
- From the Royal Recruits' description, it is implied that they can be promoted to be Dark Princes at some point.
- The Royal Recruits are commanded by the Dark Prince, as seen in a Facebook post.
- In Squad Busters, the Piñata resembles a piñata version of the Dark Prince's pony.
- While not available as a character, the Dark Prince's sounds, along with the Knight, Barbarians, and Wizard, are featured in the Clash Royale Theme song in Beatstar.
- When the Dark Prince is defeated, his spiked club falls to the ground. The other units that drop items upon death are the Knight, Rascal Boy, Mega Minion, Executioner, Mega Knight, Sparky, Fisherman, Super Knight, Golden Knight, and the Little Prince.
