Ice Wizard
This chill caster throws ice shards that slow down enemies' movement and attack speed. Despite being freezing cold, he has a handlebar mustache that's too hot for TV.

What it looks like
The Ice Wizard is a Legendary card that is unlocked from the Spooky Town (Arena 12). It spawns an area-damage, air-targeting, medium-ranged, ground troop with moderate hitpoints and low damage. The Ice Wizard's attacks slow the target's movement and attack speed by 30%. Upon deployment, he will deal damage around enemy units around him in a 360º area around him and slow them down similarly to his attack. He resembles a man with cyan spiky hair, fuzzy eyebrows, glowing eyes and hands, and a horseshoe mustache, wearing a brown leather coat and boots and a team-colored suit and a belt. An Ice Wizard card costs 3 Elixir to deploy.
Trivia
- The word "Wizard" comes from the Middle English "wys", meaning wise. In the German, Persian, and Vietnamese language settings of the game, the Ice Wizard's name translates to "Ice Magician". In the Chinese language settings of the game, the Ice Wizard's name translates to "Ice Mage".
- The Ice Wizard is 1 of 17 troops that inspired a troop in Clash of Clans, the others being Spear Goblins, Bomber, Bats, Skeleton Barrel, Minion Horde, Firecracker, Battle Ram, Ice Golem, Zappies, Baby Dragon, Giant Skeleton, Ram Rider, Inferno Dragon, Miner, Royal Ghost, and Night Witch. He is the first one that was added as a temporary troop. The word "Legendary" in the description in Clash of Clans could refer to the Legendary rarity of the Ice Wizard in Clash Royale. Unlike his Clash of Clans counterpart, the Ice Wizard in Clash Royale attacks anything in sight instead of prioritizing buildings.
- The Ice Wizard is 1 of 7 cards associated with ice, with the others being Ice Spirit, Giant Snowball, Ice Golem, Freeze, Super Ice Golem, and Wizard Trio.
- The Ice Wizard was one of the first Legendary cards to be added to the game, alongside the Princess.
- The Ice Wizard is one of the first troop cards to receive a card render, alongside the Archers, Knight, Goblins, Bomber, Skeletons, Barbarians, Bats, Royal Recruits, Skeleton Barrel, Rascals, Musketeer, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Flying Machine, Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Dart Goblin, Zappies, Elixir Golem, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Witch, P.E.K.K.A, Prince, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Hunter, Electro Dragon, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Cannon Cart, Mega Knight, Ram Rider, Miner, Royal Ghost, Magic Archer, Bandit, Lava Hound, Night Witch, and Fisherman.
- His description implies that TVs might exist within Clash Royale.
- His description incorrectly states his type of mustache as handlebar; based on his appearance both on the card image and in-game, it appears to be a horseshoe mustache.
- Occasionally when attacking and during his deployment time, the Ice Wizard exclaims "Lunta!", "Kylmä!", "Pakastaa!", "Jäädy!", "Jää!", "Jäätykää!" or "Täältä pesee!". He actually speaks Finnish, and nearly all his words refer to icy things, for example, "Snow!", "Cold!", "Freeze!", "Turn to ice!", "Ice!", "You turn to ice!" or "Here it comes!"; The Ice Wizard is 1 of 24 troops that speak distinct words when on the field, the others being Mini P.E.K.K.A., Mega Minion, Wizard, Hog Rider, P.E.K.K.A., Dark Prince, Bowler, Ram Rider, Electro Wizard, Princess, Magic Archer, Lumberjack, Mother Witch, Fisherman, Goblin Machine, Super Mini P.E.K.K.A., Santa Hog Rider, Super Magic Archer, Golden Knight, Boss Bandit, Archer Queen, Little Prince, and the Terry.
- When the Ice Wizard is deployed, a small pile of snow is left behind him before he starts to move. Likewise, when he walks, a snow crunching sound effect is played.
- The Wizard and Ice Wizard are revealed to be cousins according to the balance changes in the Tournaments Update.
- The Evolved Wizard, Ice Wizard, and Electro Wizard are responsible for creating the Void, according to the Clash Royale Void intro video.
- When the Ice Wizard slows an enemy, a pile of snow will fall off the target, and the enemy also leaves a trail of snow when it walks. The enemy will also speak with a deeper pitch. Rage however will do the opposite. The Ice Wizard's hands appear to be glowing, even when not attacking, unlike the Wizard and Electro Wizard.
