What it looks like
The Lumberjack is a Legendary card that is unlocked from the Serenity Peak (Arena 14). It spawns a very fast, single-target, ground-targeting, melee, ground troop with high hitpoints and high damage. When defeated, the Lumberjack spawns a Rage. The Lumberjack appears as a ginger-haired Barbarian with a beard, purple eyes, and a scarlet nose, wearing a brown belt and a team-colored ushanka, wristbands and sandals. He wields an axe and carries a Rage Spell on his shoulder. A Lumberjack card costs 4 Elixir to deploy.
Trivia
- In the Turkish, Korean, and Vietnamese language settings of the game, the Lumberjack's name translates to "Woodcutter". In the Chinese and Finnish language settings of the game, the Lumberjack's name translates to "Crazy Woodcutter" and "Logman" respectively.
- The Lumberjack is 1 of 7 troops that has had its movement speed classification changed, the others being Skeleton Barrel, Elite Barbarians, Suspicious Bush, Goblin Brawler, Cannon Cart, and the Mighty Miner. The Lumberjack is the first troop whose movement speed classification was changed since the 24/8/2016 balance changes.
- The Lumberjack is 1 of 22 troops that has been featured in the Troop Rush game mode, the others being Skeletons, Skeleton Dragons, Fire Spirit, Bats, Elite Barbarians, Firecracker, Rascal Girls, Royal Hogs, Heal Spirit, Elixir Golem, Guards, Prince, Balloon, Golem, Wall Breakers, Ram Rider, Sparky, Phoenix, Royal Ghost, Bandit, and the Monk.
- When attacking, the Lumberjack will say "Chop chop!" or “Timber!”. He also laughs. Along with the Knight, Barbarians, and Electro Wizard, he is voice acted by John Mondelli. - While not available as a troop in Clash of Clans, the Super Valkyrie troop in the former is likely inspired from the Lumberjack, with both being fast melee troops that deal high damage per second, and drop a Rage spell after death. However, unlike the Super Valkyrie, the Lumberjack's Rage is identical to ones not used by the Lumberjack.
- The Lumberjack is responsible for creating The Log, which is hinted at on several different occasions: The Lumberjack's description states "and hunts The Log by night". In The Log's description, it states the cause of its creation was "a spilt bottle of Rage", which is a property exclusive to the Lumberjack. In the Clash of Clans No More Clashmas?! commercial, The Log had a flashback to its creation where the Lumberjack is seen spilling the Rage spell in a forest. By an Emote where the Lumberjack cowers because The Log towers over him. In the Clash-A-Rama episode "Twas The Night Before Clashmas", the Kings search for a Clashmas Tree. They ignore the Lumberjack's majestic one, and decides on a smaller and ugly looking tree. The agitated Lumberjack tries to destroy it, but slips and drops his Rage spell, which converts the tree into The Log.
- The Lumberjack, Ram Rider, Phoenix, and the Fisherman are the only normal spawning Legendary troops that do not fall from the sky when deployed.
- During the Lumberjack's deploy time, he can be seen drinking his bottle of Rage.
- The Lumberjack's rage drop animation used to be smooth, rather than the rigid one we have today. This animation was removed in an unknown update.
- The Card Mastery task "Rage of Empires" is a reference to the Age of Empires games series.
- The Lumberjack is the subject of a few Emotes. The Lumberjack All Seeing Emote is a reference to Dr. Strange. The Lumberjack Cheers Emote was originally going to appear in December of 2023, but did not make it to the game until the January of 2024. In the Trophy Road intro video, there was an Emote that showed the Lumberjack spilling Elixir from his mouth. However, this Emote never made it to the game.
- The Lumberjack was featured in the winning decks of multiple Clash Royale Tournaments. More specifically: The Lumberjack was featured in the winning deck of the Clash Royale League 2021 Tournament, by a player called Mugi.
