What it looks like
The Ram Rider is a Legendary card that is unlocked from the Electro Valley (Arena 11). It spawns a single-target, building-targeting, melee, ground troop with high hitpoints and high damage. After she travels 2 tiles, she will begin to charge towards her target, and deals double damage if she hits the target whilst charging. She is able to jump over the river. She carries a Rider on her back that can attack independently of the Ram. The Rider's attacks only affect troops, but she can snare them, slowing down their movement speed by 70%. The Ram Rider appears as a dark-skinned woman who has light brown eyes, black hair and eyebrows, and white spots on her face, wears a sandal dress, a team-colored belt, and a golden band on her neck and right arm, wield bolas, and rides a ram that wears a team-colored headband, has a golden piercing in its left ear, and carries a team-colored scroll on its back. A Ram Rider card costs 5 Elixir to deploy.
Trivia
- The weapon that the Ram Rider wields is called a bola. Bolas were most famously used by the gauchos, but have been found in excavations of Pre-Columbian settlements, especially in Patagonia, where indigenous peoples used them to catch guanacos and rheas.
- The ram that she rides resembles an "Ovis canadensis" (bighorn sheep) and similar species. Bighorn sheep have large compact curved horns and attack by charging towards their target with their horns, similarly to the Ram Rider's ram in Clash Royale.
- The Ram Rider is 1 of 17 troops that inspired a troop in Clash of Clans, the others being Spear Goblins, Bomber, Bats, Skeleton Barrel, Minion Horde, Firecracker, Battle Ram, Ice Golem, Zappies, Baby Dragon, Giant Skeleton, Inferno Dragon, Miner, Royal Ghost, Ice Wizard, and Night Witch. Unlike her Clash of Clans counterpart, the Ram Rider in Clash Royale only attacks with her ram once, with the Ram Rider herself attacking the target afterwards from range. In addition, the ram is able to apply a slow effect to its target. The appearance of the Ram Rider is also different in Clash Royale, appearing without holiday decorations, or as a cookie.
- The Ram Rider is one of the first troop cards to receive a card render, alongside the Archers, Knight, Goblins, Bomber, Skeletons, Barbarians, Bats, Royal Recruits, Skeleton Barrel, Rascals, Musketeer, Giant, Valkyrie, Wizard, Flying Machine, Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Dart Goblin, Zappies, Elixir Golem, Baby Dragon, Skeleton Army, Witch, P.E.K.K.A, Prince, Balloon, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Hunter, Electro Dragon, Wall Breakers, Bowler, Cannon Cart, Mega Knight, Miner, Royal Ghost, Ice Wizard, Magic Archer, Bandit, Lava Hound, Night Witch, and Fisherman.
- She is 1 of 5 troops that have a charge, the others being Battle Ram, Dark Prince, Prince, and Raging Prince.
- The Ram Rider is 1 of 8 troops that can jump over the river, the others being Hog Rider, Royal Hogs, Dark Prince, Prince, Raging Prince, Cursed Hog, and Santa Hog Rider.
- The Ram Rider is 1 of 2 troops with the “Ranged Ground & Air targeting unit riding on Melee Building targeting unit” pattern, the other being the Goblin Giant. However, the Rider cannot attack alone if the Ram is destroyed, and only the Ram can attack buildings.
- In the Dutch and Norwegian language settings of the game, the Ram Rider's name translates to "Buck Rider". In the Indonesian and Malaysian language settings of the game, the Ram Rider's name translates to "Sheep Rider". In the Italian, French, Portuguese, Thai, and Vietnamese language settings of the game, the Ram Rider's name translates to "Ram Tamer", "Cavalier", "Sheep Tamer", "Sheepwoman", and "City Breaker" respectively. In both the Simplified Chinese and the Traditional Chinese language setting, the Ram Rider's name translates to "Barbary sheep Knight". Ammotragus lervia, the common names of which include Barbary sheep, inhabits a range across North Africa.
- The Ram Rider has been featured in multiple special game modes outside of the card. More specifically: The Ram Rider is 1 of 22 troops that has been featured in the Troop Rush game mode, the others being Skeletons, Skeleton Dragons, Fire Spirit, Bats, Elite Barbarians, Firecracker, Rascal Girls, Royal Hogs, Heal Spirit, Elixir Golem, Guards, Prince, Balloon, Golem, Wall Breakers, Sparky, Phoenix, Royal Ghost, Bandit, Lumberjack, Santa Hog Rider, and the Monk. The Ram Rider is 1 of 14 troops that has been featured with a Rage buff, the others being Electro Spirit, Giant, Zappies, Guards, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Electro Dragon, Wall Breakers, Electro Giant, Mega Knight, Electro Wizard, Sparky, and Royal Ghost.
- The Rider on the Ram is the only troop in the game that only attacks troops.
- When deployed, the Ram Rider will say "Out of my way!". The Ram Rider is 1 of 24 troops that speak distinct words when on the field, the others being Mini P.E.K.K.A., Mega Minion, Wizard, Hog Rider, P.E.K.K.A., Dark Prince, Bowler, Electro Wizard, Princess, Ice Wizard, Magic Archer, Lumberjack, Mother Witch, Fisherman, Goblin Machine, Super Mini P.E.K.K.A., Santa Hog Rider, Super Magic Archer, Golden Knight, Boss Bandit, Archer Queen, Little Prince, and the Terry.
